Cymbal Smiths

Amedia have a small cymbal factory in the heart of Istanbul, they employ some of the world’s most experienced cymbal smiths in the industry and use traditional tools to create handmade cymbals with soul. Below is some information about the senior cymbal smiths working for Amedia.

Ahmet Baykusak – Owner of the Amedia factory. Ahmet Baykusak is an expert hammer smith with more than 15 years experience in the industry. Every Amedia cymbal has to pass Ahmet’s strict quality control before it can leave the factory.

Eremya Arzat – At just 15 years of age, Eremya learnt the magical formula for cymbal making as an apprentice with the famous Zilcan (Zildjian). Almost every present cymbal smith, trained in Turkey over the past 28 years, learned the way of cymbal making from Eremya Arzat.

Hamdusana Baykusak – Expert lathe man. Hamdusana Baykusak is an experienced cymbal smith responsible for the musical lathing on the Ahmet Legend series.
